Hi! I’m Bonni!
Brand strategist. Formerly Capitol Hill.
Storyteller. Cultural deep-diver. Audience digger.
Detail-oriented, with a global perspective.
In search of "the why" as well as "the what".
I’m much more talkative in person.
I delight in making connections.
Sometimes, that means connecting people who I think can learn from each other’s experiences. It almost always means sharing an article or a Twitter thread that I just can’t get out of my head. At UVa, it involved dabbling in as many diverse subjects as I could and applying what I learned in one field to my coursework in another (examples: Global Ethics, Hitchcock Films, Archeology, Idolatry, Classroom Management, and Emergency Preparedness in St. Kitts and Nevis). I carried that thought process to the VCU Brandcenter, where I realized the best insights came from the most unexpected places (example: talking to teens about retirement, studying the history of the circus, understanding the changing landscape of Appalachia, and unpacking the importance of washing machines – twice). These days, I’m focused on connecting brands to consumers in ways that feel authentic and interesting.
Send me an email, I’d love to connect!
